Firefighter hospitalized after sustaining injuries while battling a fire

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – While putting out a fire in Fort Lauderdale, a fireman was hurt.

On Wednesday evening, shortly after 7 o’clock, firefighters went to a fire that was reported between East Dayton Circle and Georgia Avenue.

The fire started in the attic.

One fireman, who had sustained relatively minor injuries, was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The property has been deemed inhabitable, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
