Driver dies in a hospital following a Nassau County crash

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol said that a 22-year-old man who crashed into a tree in Nassau County on Saturday afternoon succumbed to his injuries.

The report from the Florida Highway Patrol notes that the man was operating a pick-up truck in the eastbound lane of River Road when, for reasons that are not known, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.

The driver died after being transported to the hospital.

According to the investigation, the driver had their seatbelt on at the time of the collision.
