Teenager indicted for fatally stabbing grandmother in Rockledge home

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A 16-year-old kid has been indicted on murder charges for allegedly killing his grandmother in their Rockledge home back in early September.

According to the office of the state attorney, Jaylin Christian has been indicted for first-degree premeditated murder and will be tried as an adult.

According to the Rockledge Police Department, Christian was found outside a gas station in Cocoa and informed two Brevard County deputies that he had stabbed his grandmother. The officers were able to find Christian.

The lady’s corpse was discovered in the kitchen of the house on South Carolina Avenue, which is located west of Fiske Boulevard. According to the authorities, the body of the 57-year-old woman was covered in a blanket when the crews arrived.

According to the documents, when a deputy at the gas station questioned Christian about the number of times he had stabbed his grandma, the little kid replied, “Too many to count.”

In the end, the young man told police that he had been having suicidal thoughts, that he had gotten a knife from the kitchen, and that he had gone to his grandmother’s workplace to attack her. This information was written in an arrest report.

According to the complaint, he then packed up some possessions, grabbed money and a briefcase from his grandmother, and snapped a picture of his grandmother’s corpse before covering her up with a blanket and departing.

Before the deadly stabbing, according to LaSata, Christian had been living with his grandmother for the previous six to eight months.
