Four people injured after a tanker truck crash and fire on I-95 in Delray Beach

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – After a collision on Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Delray Beach that left four people wounded, a big fire broke out, and flames and thick smoke began to billow from the scene.

A tanker truck and at least two automobiles were seen on fire in the video footage taken near the Atlantic Avenue exit.

FL511 reports that all lanes of Interstate 95 are blocked in the area of the incident.

Drivers are being warned to avoid I-95.

According to a tweet sent out by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, “Traffic Delays Will Be Severe” and They Will Last for the “Forseeable Future.”

As of around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Delray Beach Fire Rescue reported that at least three of the four people who had been hurt were in severe condition.

The post from the agency said that the fourth individual was sent to a local hospital with “unknown injuries.”
