Orchidfest returns to Coral Springs for two full days of rare tropical blooms, wildlife exhibits, and holiday shopping fun

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs’ Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital is set to bloom with thousands of orchids and a host of interactive experiences as Orchidfest 2025 returns for a two-day celebration of plants, wildlife, and holiday shopping. The annual event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, December 6–7, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., promising a weekend full of colorful flowers, educational activities, and family fun.
Thousands of orchids in every shape, color, and variety will be on display, attracting everyone from avid orchid collectors to families and casual plant enthusiasts. Organizers say the event takes place during the height of South Florida’s growing season, allowing visitors to experience the tropical blooms at their most vibrant. The festival has grown into a destination for gardeners, hobbyists, and anyone seeking unique holiday gifts that can’t be found at a big-box store.
More than 25 vendors will fill the festival grounds with rare orchids, tropical plants, native species, gardening supplies, and handcrafted garden art. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with growers, learn about plant care, and select one-of-a-kind items to take home. Whether browsing for a special orchid or seeking unique décor for a garden, attendees are sure to discover something special.
“Orchidfest is about more than just plants,” said a spokesperson for the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital. “It’s a celebration of nature, education, and community, where families can explore, learn, and connect with the environment around them.”
In addition to the plants, the festival will feature a variety of wildlife exhibits and educational stations. Guests will have the chance to meet some of the exotic and native animals currently receiving care at the center or living on site. Children can participate in hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity about the natural world, while adults explore the grounds and enjoy the festival’s lively atmosphere.
All proceeds from Orchidfest support the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital, which treats more than 1,100 injured or orphaned animals each year. The center also provides environmental education programs to over 10,000 visitors annually, emphasizing conservation, wildlife care, and ecological stewardship in the Coral Springs community. By attending, visitors are not only enjoying a day of beauty and learning but also supporting vital care for local wildlife.
Admission is $8 for ages 6 and up, with children under 6 admitted free of charge. To accommodate visitors, parking will be available at Sawgrass Springs Middle School, with shuttle service to the nature center. Organizers encourage guests to arrive early, explore the festival at a leisurely pace, and take time to enjoy both the flowers and the educational offerings.
Orchidfest 2025 promises an immersive weekend where guests can wander among breathtaking blooms, encounter fascinating wildlife, and pick up unique gifts for the holidays. With its combination of tropical plants, animal exhibits, and family-friendly activities, the festival continues to highlight the importance of nature education while providing an unforgettable experience for the community.
Whether you’re a seasoned orchid collector, a gardening enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun, educational outing for the family, Orchidfest offers something for everyone. This year’s festival aims to leave visitors inspired, informed, and delighted by the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
