Chabad Jewish Center launches SparkSpace to offer new weekday programs for adults and seniors in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – The Chabad Jewish Center in Coral Springs has unveiled an exciting new initiative aimed at enriching the lives of adults and seniors in the community. The center recently launched SparkSpace, a weekday program designed to offer a variety of engaging classes that help participants stay active, creative, and socially connected. This fresh approach provides a welcoming environment where individuals can nurture their minds and bodies while building meaningful connections.
SparkSpace is located at the Chabad Jewish Center’s premises at 11325 W. Atlantic Blvd., where attendees can take part in a diverse lineup of classes tailored to different interests and abilities. Among the highlighted offerings is Ageless Grace, led by Lana Gelb, which is set to begin on August 12. This class emphasizes gentle movements that promote physical health and well-being, suitable for participants of all ages.
Another popular option is Paper Tole, an ongoing class held every Monday and instructed by Lenae Herman. This creative workshop invites participants to explore artistic expression through the intricate craft of layered paper art. The class encourages not only creativity but also patience and focus, offering a calming and rewarding experience.
Perhaps one of the most innovative programs under SparkSpace is Therapeutic Fitness, starting August 26 and taught by Matthew Hamburger. This unique class blends breath and body awareness drawn from yoga with the principles of physical therapy. It uses gentle standing “stretchercises” supported by a chair and a Corrective Cane to alleviate tension in the neck, back, and shoulders. The program also aims to improve mobility and restore posture, all without the need for mats or floor work. This approach makes it accessible to individuals with various fitness levels, including those who may have limited mobility or physical challenges.
“Our goal is to give people a place to learn, move, and connect in a friendly, welcoming environment,” said Rabbi Yankie Denburg, expressing the center’s commitment to fostering a supportive community hub. He emphasized the importance of creating spaces where adults and seniors can thrive physically, mentally, and socially.
SparkSpace represents more than just classes; it’s about building community bonds and promoting holistic wellness. The Chabad Jewish Center invites everyone interested to learn more or register for programs by visiting their website at www.mychabadcenter.org/sparkspace. With a blend of physical activity, creative expression, and social engagement, SparkSpace is positioned to become a vital part of Coral Springs’ adult and senior community life.
