Coral Springs residents are invited to join the citywide Sunny Seekers scavenger hunt starting September 20

Coral Springs, Florida –Coral Springs residents are invited to explore their city in a new and exciting way with the launch of the Sunny Seekers Scavenger Hunt, a citywide event beginning Saturday, September 20. Running for two weeks until October 4, the initiative is designed to bring neighbors together while showcasing some of the city’s landmarks and hidden gems.

The scavenger hunt, organized as part of Coral Springs’ Neighborhoods with Integrity initiative, invites residents to form teams of four to eight people. Each team will have a captain responsible for coordinating tasks and submitting completed challenges. Organizers say the event is meant to highlight the city’s history, beauty, and community spirit while fostering friendly competition among residents.

“Participants will get to enjoy our city’s beauty and interesting history, and I look forward to being part of that shared adventure,” said Commissioner Shawn Cerra in a news release.

Over the course of the two-week event, participants will complete 22 challenges that range from trivia and photo tasks to short videos and other creative submissions. The challenges are designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, and exploration, while highlighting neighborhoods and locations across Coral Springs. Teams are encouraged to be imaginative and share their experiences on social media, adding to the community-wide engagement.

One of the event’s highlights is the recognition of the neighborhood with the highest number of participating teams. That neighborhood will be crowned Sunny Seekers Champions and celebrated with a community pizza party, giving residents an opportunity to connect, socialize, and enjoy their collective achievements.

The scavenger hunt emphasizes community involvement and local pride, aligning with the city’s ongoing efforts to strengthen neighborhood connections. Neighborhoods with Integrity, the program under which the scavenger hunt is organized, aims to create a sense of unity and collaboration among residents, encouraging them to engage with their surroundings and with one another.

Organizers stress that the event is open to all residents, and teams of varying ages are encouraged to participate. Whether residents are longtime Coral Springs residents or newcomers, the scavenger hunt offers a chance to explore areas they may not have visited before and to learn more about the city’s rich cultural and historical backdrop.
