Coral Springs unveils new pickleball courts at Forest Glen Middle School for residents to enjoy

Coral Springs, Florida – Residents of Coral Springs now have more opportunities to play pickleball following the opening of newly refurbished courts at Forest Glen Middle School this week. City officials joined school representatives for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the project, which adds dedicated pickleball courts to the community’s recreational offerings.

The project, funded through an agreement between the City of Coral Springs and the school district, cost $70,100. As part of the renovation, three of the school’s six tennis courts were converted into pickleball courts, providing a space for both casual and competitive players. Officials emphasized that the courts are open to the public, encouraging residents of all ages to enjoy the sport.

“The new courts provide an excellent opportunity for residents to get active and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country,” a city spokesperson said. Pickleball’s popularity has been rising nationwide, and Coral Springs’ investment in new facilities reflects the city’s commitment to keeping pace with recreational trends and meeting the needs of its residents.

City officials encourage families, friends, and community groups to take advantage of the flexible schedule to play, exercise, and socialize.

In addition to expanding pickleball options, the project improves the overall quality of athletic facilities at Forest Glen Middle School. The renovation ensures that the school’s courts can accommodate multiple sports, providing a versatile space for students and the broader community.

Community members attending the ribbon-cutting expressed excitement about the new courts. Many noted that the accessible facilities help promote physical activity while also creating a place for neighbors to connect and enjoy friendly competition.
