Boca Lago Golf and Country Club near Coral Springs celebrates 50 years with extensive renovations new amenities and a special holiday membership offer

West Boca Raton, Florida – Boca Lago Golf & Country Club, a premier private club near Coral Springs, is marking its 50th anniversary with sweeping renovations, upgraded amenities, and a special holiday membership promotion aimed at welcoming new members to the celebrated Boca Raton destination. Located at 8665 Juego Way, the club has invested over $15 million in recent years to modernize nearly every aspect of its 225-acre property, from golf facilities and clubhouse spaces to dining and fitness areas.

The milestone celebration comes alongside a limited-time offer designed to attract new members. The first 25 individuals who join before December 31, 2025, will receive 25 percent off the initiation fee. Those who join during the anniversary year will also gain access to the club’s expanded racquet sports program at no extra cost through December 31, 2026, including tennis, pickleball, and padel.

General Manager Michelle Rolon, who has served as the club’s GM for the past two years and worked at Boca Lago for five, said the atmosphere at the club remains a key draw for members.

“It’s a different experience here,” Rolon said. “We’re smaller, and you’re not just a number. We know our members, their families, and their stories. There’s a lot of great energy here.”

Rolon is among a handful of women leading a private golf and country club in the region, an uncommon distinction in an industry historically dominated by men. She emphasized that Boca Lago’s privately owned model sets it apart from traditional equity clubs, allowing it to operate without mandatory assessments while still reinvesting heavily in the property. The owner remains hands-on, visiting frequently and guiding ongoing improvements.

The club’s three nine-hole golf courses wind through natural preserves, offering a layout rarely found in South Florida. Golfers benefit from one of the largest driving ranges in Palm Beach County and two full practice-hole facilities, which allow both beginners and seasoned players to hone their game. Boca Lago has also hosted PGA prequalifying rounds, a testament to the quality and consistency of its courses, according to Membership Director John Stampfl. The club’s head golf professional is widely regarded as one of the best in the region, providing expert instruction to members of all skill levels.

Beyond golf, Boca Lago offers a variety of recreational and wellness amenities. Tennis, pickleball, and padel courts provide competitive and social play opportunities, while a licensed fitness professional supports members with personal training, rehabilitation, and wellness guidance. For seasonal residents and frequent travelers, the club offers access to an alliance of 200 invited clubs across the United States and Mexico, a benefit that enhances both leisure and networking opportunities.

Inside the renovated clubhouse, dining has taken center stage. Led by Chef Joseph Bakasa, formerly of Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” the club offers a mix of casual and fine dining experiences. The spaces now host themed dinners, wine events, and member gatherings that blend culinary excellence with community engagement.

Social programming continues to expand alongside the physical upgrades. Women’s activities include weekly card games, Ladies Golf Association tournaments, a book club, and an annual fashion show. Concerts, comedy nights, holiday celebrations, and a host of community-focused events throughout the year further enrich the member experience.

Currently, Boca Lago boasts over 300 members and continues to grow as additional renovations are completed. Rolon said the combination of updated facilities, engaging programming, and a welcoming environment ensures the club remains relevant while honoring its history.

“We’re honoring our history while continuing to evolve,” Rolon said. “This year is about celebrating how far the club has come and where it’s headed next.”

As Boca Lago looks to the future, the club remains committed to providing a casual yet refined environment where members feel valued and connected. Whether it’s a day on the golf course, a session on the tennis courts, a fitness class, or a festive holiday gathering, Boca Lago aims to offer a holistic club experience that combines leisure, wellness, and community.

With its 50th anniversary serving as a milestone for both reflection and forward momentum, Boca Lago Golf & Country Club is poised to welcome a new generation of members while continuing to serve as a beloved destination for families and individuals seeking a personalized, high-quality club experience in West Boca Raton. The combination of major renovations, innovative programming, and a special holiday membership deal makes this a landmark year for the club and its community.
