The Walk in Coral Springs launches its annual holiday toy drive to bring joy to children in northwest Broward County

Coral Springs, Florida – The spirit of giving is in full swing at The Walk in Coral Springs, as the popular shopping and entertainment destination launches its annual holiday toy drive in partnership with Toys for Tots. The initiative aims to bring joy to children who might otherwise go without gifts this holiday season, spreading cheer throughout northwest Broward County.
Organizers announced on Monday that collection boxes for new, unwrapped toys are now available throughout The Walk’s plaza, located at 2750 N. University Drive. Residents and shoppers are encouraged to drop off gifts at participating locations, including Amera, Berkshire Hathaway, Crocante Bakery & Café, Jamba, Whit’s Frozen Custard, and Wildflowers of Parkland. Each of these locations has been set up with designated boxes to make donating as convenient as possible.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and make the holidays brighter for children in need,” said organizers. “By dropping off a gift at any of the collection points, residents can directly impact the lives of local kids and bring smiles to their faces during this special time of year.”
The holiday toy drive will reach its peak on Friday, Dec. 12, when the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and WPLG–TV Channel 10 News will host their annual Big Bus Toy Express at The Walk. The event will run from noon to 1 p.m., with the station broadcasting live during that hour. Organizers noted that The Walk will be the only stop in northwest Broward County, giving the community a unique chance to participate in this well-loved annual tradition.
Gift drop-off locations are spread throughout the plaza to make it easy for shoppers and visitors to contribute while running errands or enjoying a meal. Specific drop-off points include:
• Amera — 2900 N. University Drive, second floor
• Berkshire Hathaway — 2754 N. University Drive
• Crocante Bakery & Café — 2708 N. University Drive
• Jamba — 2816 N. University Drive
• Whit’s Frozen Custard — 2886 N. University Drive
• Wildflowers of Parkland — 2904 N. University Drive
Organizers said the drive is open to everyone and encourages families, local businesses, and visitors to participate. By donating a toy, community members can help ensure that children throughout the area experience the magic of the holiday season.
