Groovy4Good plans fitness fundraiser in Coral Springs to support shelter pets and local animal rescues

Coral Springs, Florida – A South Florida nonprofit is inviting residents to break a sweat for a good cause next month, blending fitness, community spirit, and animal welfare into one afternoon event in Coral Springs.

Groovy4Good Inc. will host a special fitness fundraiser aimed at helping homeless pets while bringing people together through movement and connection. The event, called “Groovy4Good Presents: Sweat 4 Shelter Pets,” is set for Saturday, Jan. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at LuLu Fitness Kettlebell Club, located at 10530 Wiles Road.

The fundraiser is designed to offer more than just a workout. Participants will take part in a guided fitness class led by Coach LuLu, owner of the Coral Springs-based studio, followed by time to relax, refuel, and meet adoptable animals. Registration includes access to an iced coffee bar, a snack station, giveaways, and opportunities to interact with pets from UFAR Animals Rescue in Margate.

Groovy4Good Inc. is a volunteer-run, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Coral Springs. The organization focuses on supporting local animal rescues across South Florida through creative fundraising events, educational outreach, and hands-on community engagement. Its mission centers on building awareness and providing tangible support to groups working to protect and rehome vulnerable animals.

Coach LuLu has operated her fitness studio for more than five years and is known for partnering with local organizations to support charitable causes. Her involvement in the event reflects a shared commitment to community service and using fitness as a tool to give back. The workout is expected to be welcoming to a range of fitness levels, making the event accessible to both seasoned gym-goers and newcomers.

The cost to participate is $20, with all proceeds benefiting UFAR Animals Rescue. Advance registration is required and can be completed online at https://givebutter.com/oseMgE. Space is limited, and organizers encourage early sign-ups to secure a spot.

UFAR Animals Rescue is a Margate-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and neglected animals throughout Broward County and nearby areas. Funds raised during the event will help support the rescue’s ongoing efforts, including medical care, foster programs, and adoption services.

Organizers say the goal of the event is to create a fun, positive atmosphere where people can support animal welfare while enjoying a healthy activity. By combining fitness with fundraising and pet adoption awareness, Groovy4Good hopes to inspire continued involvement in local rescue efforts long after the workout ends.

Community members looking to make a difference for shelter pets while enjoying an active afternoon are encouraged to participate and help turn sweat into support for animals in need.
