Parkridge Christian Academy completes first winter varsity season with memorable wins and strong performances

Coral Springs, Florida – Parkridge Christian Academy wrapped up its first winter varsity season with a mix of triumphs, hard-fought battles, and promising performances across its basketball and soccer programs. The school’s athletes made their mark in multiple sports, leaving fans and the school community eager for the next chapter in the Panthers’ growing athletics tradition.

The boys’ basketball team enjoyed a particularly successful season, finishing with a 16–7 record. Highlights included a notable victory over Donna Klein Jewish Academy, a matchup that showcased the Panthers’ determination and depth. Throughout the season, Parkridge displayed remarkable consistency, stringing together both four-game and six-game winning streaks. One standout performance came in a lopsided 103-point win against Horeb Christian High School, and an overtime triumph over Sheridan Hills Christian further underscored the team’s resilience.

The team entered postseason play riding the momentum of three consecutive regular-season wins, but their run ended with a loss to Atlantic Christian High School. Josh Clark led the Panthers offensively, averaging 16.5 points per game, with Ramon Brayan III contributing 12.1 points per game and Makel Moraes adding 10.1 points per game. Cameron Burbridge and Braxton Ferjuste each scored at least seven points per game, while other important contributors included Kastani Whittington, Levon Akopian, Christian Bowyer, Elijah Jimenez, David DaSilva, and Matias Brayan. Their combined efforts reflected the team’s depth and teamwork throughout the season.

While the boys’ team celebrated multiple victories, the girls’ basketball program experienced a challenging inaugural season, finishing 1–13. Despite the record, the Panthers showed determination and growth in every contest. The team roster featured Paisley Williamson, Bella Marshall, Jade Nowalk, Summer Saunders, Jai’da Jones, Chance Reed, Kassidy Manuel, Gianna Augustin, Valentina Garcia, Daisy DiIulio, Makayla Vega, Magnolia Williamson, and Harlow Franciosa. The experience gained this season is expected to lay the foundation for improvement in the years ahead.

In soccer, the boys’ team opened the season with a 6–4 win over Sagemont Prep, followed by a second victory awarded by forfeit. Nicholas Henao contributed two goals in the opener, while Robbie Reynolds scored one. Silas Greenfield led the team with two assists, and Kauan DaSilva, Sam Kulacz, and Max Guzman also recorded assists. Later in the season, the Panthers earned a 2–2 draw against Sagemont Prep, adding two more goals to their season total. The boys’ soccer roster also included Gabriel Ramirez, Diego Paula, Finn Nicholson, Peter Hamm, Matheus Fernandes, Ezra Wood, Mathis Andre, Amir Dufresne, Ethan Bernardes, Moises Rojas, Apollo Brandao, and Nicholas Henao, all of whom contributed to the team’s effort on the field.

The girls’ soccer team emerged as one of the school’s standout programs this winter, posting a strong 4–3–2 record. They kicked off the season with an 8–0 rout of Horeb Christian High School and also claimed victories over Atlantic Christian High School and Sports Leadership & Management, outscoring opponents 11–3. A win by forfeit against Somerset Prep added to their impressive tally. The Panthers finished the season with draws against Donna Klein Jewish Academy and Abundant Life Christian Academy, closing the year with 26 total goals. Key players on the roster included Jade Nowalk, Lily Wood, Chloe Andre, Mila Jurgens, Jazmine Rivera, Nevaeh Michael, Kaylyn Basel, Molly Alvarez, Eden Pecaut, Jai’da Jones, Sarah Vargas, Magnolia Williamson, Aniyah Augustin, Jordan Roll, Mica Miccichell, and Gianna Augustin.

The inaugural winter varsity season at Parkridge Christian Academy has provided invaluable experience for student-athletes, combining moments of high achievement with opportunities for growth. Coaches and players alike emphasized teamwork, resilience, and personal development as the season unfolded. With solid foundations laid in basketball and soccer, the Panthers are poised to build on this first winter campaign and continue establishing their presence in local high school athletics.
