Raiz Sourdough Bakery is expanding its presence with a new storefront in Coral Springs to bring artisan breads to more customers

Coral Springs, Florida – Raiz Sourdough Bakery, the farm-to-table artisan brand celebrated for its naturally fermented breads and “no seed oil” approach, is expanding its presence with a new location at 1955 University Drive in Coral Springs. While the bakery has not yet announced an official opening date, work on the new storefront is well underway, with “coming soon” updates already shared across the company’s social media channels.

The Coral Springs expansion represents a significant milestone for the bakery, which spent its first two years cultivating a devoted following through the Southwest Ranches Community Farmers Market. Founder Esteban Taborda, who started Raiz Sourdough Bakery in early 2023, has guided the business from a market stall to a growing regional brand. “We’ve always believed in building a loyal community first, and now we’re ready to bring that same energy into a permanent space where our customers can enjoy our products every day,” Taborda said.

The expansion coincides with the recent launch of Raiz Sourdough Pizza LLC, a subsidiary managed by Taborda and his partner John P. Uribe Garces. This new venture allows the brand to branch into prepared artisanal foods while keeping its core focus on naturally leavened doughs. These products are marketed as more digestible and nutritionally rich compared to conventional commercial breads, aligning with the company’s philosophy of clean, wholesome ingredients.

Although the new Coral Springs location will provide a permanent home for Raiz Sourdough Bakery, the company has emphasized that it will continue to maintain its roots in Southwest Ranches. The farmers market remains an essential part of the brand’s story, serving as a testing ground for new recipes and a way to connect directly with the community. “Our Southwest Ranches customers have been instrumental in shaping our bakery’s vision,” Taborda said. “Even as we grow, we’re committed to keeping that personal connection alive.”

The expansion reflects both the rising demand for artisan breads and the broader trend toward farm-to-table and naturally fermented foods in South Florida. By offering freshly baked sourdough loaves and other products in a dedicated retail space, Raiz Sourdough Bakery hopes to attract new customers while providing existing patrons a more consistent and accessible shopping experience.

With construction ongoing and social media teasing glimpses of the upcoming store, anticipation is building in the Coral Springs community. Customers can expect a continuation of the bakery’s signature focus on quality, flavor, and health-conscious ingredients once the doors open. The move signals Raiz Sourdough Bakery’s evolution from a local farmers market favorite into a regional culinary brand, poised to make its mark on South Florida’s artisan food scene.
