2 people fatally shot in domestic incident in Volusia County

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reports that a “domestic shooting” resulted in the deaths of two people. Deputies are using the term “domestic shooting” to describe the incident.

It was shortly before 8:00 p.m. when deputies went to the shooting at 1322 East Parkway in DeLand. When they arrived, they discovered the bodies of two adult victims.

The sheriff’s department tweeted that the suspect in the shooting has turned himself in and is now being interrogated by officers.

“Tonight, deputies responded to a domestic shooting at 1322 East Parkway, DeLand, just before 8 p.m. On the scene, two adult victims were found deceased. The shooter surrendered to deputies and is being interviewed. Please stand by for future updates on this active investigation,” the sheriff’s office said.
