Broward County authorities looking for thieves who target the elderly

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – The authorities are looking for a couple of distraction thieves.

The police in Coconut Creek, Florida, have released drawings of a man and a woman who reportedly robbed a 94-year-old woman a few weeks ago.

According to the investigators, the two individuals pretended to be landscapers and told the victim that they had been employed by her homeowners’ association.

However, according to the authorities, that was only an excuse to get into her house in the first place. After that, they made off with the jewelry box along with other valuables from the victim.

The Coconut Creek Police Department says that this is the fourth time since March that an older person has been the target of a crime like this.

If you have any information or you identify one of the suspects, please call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
