Deerfield Beach incident leaves one person injured after Brightline train collided with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon

DEERFIELD BEACH, Florida – Authorities say that one person was hurt when a Brightline train and a car collided in Deerfield Beach on Wednesday afternoon.

A BSO spokeswoman named Claudinne Caro said that the accident happened at 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of North Dixie Hwy and Northeast 48th Street.

Officials said that deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and firefighters from the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue went to the crash.

Caro said that one person was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries after the crash.

The name of the crash victim has not been released by the authorities.

No other information has been given.
