Coral Springs Museum of Art unveils new logo as part of a major rebranding ahead of its move to a modern space in 2026

Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Museum of Art is stepping boldly into the future with the unveiling of a new logo as part of a broader rebranding effort that coincides with the museum’s planned move to a new location in 2026. The museum will relocate to the Cornerstone development, where its updated gallery space will be more accessible and modern, reflecting the evolving identity of the institution.
Museum officials emphasized that the updated look is intended to reflect a dynamic and contemporary institution while aligning with several recent internal changes. “Because there is so much happening here, we wanted to look for an image, a dynamic new concept,” said Juliana Forero, the museum’s director. “It’s part of a bigger process — to have a new look on our website, making it ADA compliant. We recently revised our membership program, and added additional levels to make it more accessible to students and community members. We also added an exciting new sponsorship program.”
Unlike many organizations that hire external agencies for rebranding, the Coral Springs Museum of Art developed its new logo entirely in-house with the support of the city’s communications and marketing department. Forero highlighted the importance of community engagement in the process, explaining that focus groups and stakeholder meetings played a central role in shaping the final design.
“There were three types of focus groups that took place from June through October,” Forero said. “The focus groups took place in June. That is where the communications and marketing team from the city gathered information from stakeholders, and from the museum staff and city staff. We also gathered information from youth and teens who take classes here at the museum and come to our program.”
The rebranding presentation last week provided an opportunity to thank supporters and preview the new logo before it was publicly released. “We wanted to make sure that their voices were heard, and that their input was taken into consideration in this rebranding,” Forero added. Participants in the focus groups were initially asked for feedback on the museum’s existing logo, then shown examples from prominent art organizations to inspire ideas for a fresh and recognizable design.
In interviews, Forero said that the new logo had to convey a sense of being distinctive and bold, something instantly recognizable to anyone who sees it. “It has to be unique and dynamic,” she said. “We wanted a logo that people can recognize. For example, if we’re in a conference, other people — art professionals — can see the logo of the Coral Springs Museum of Art on a business card and immediately recognize that this is a museum that is modern, contemporary, and dynamic.”
The timing of the new logo could not be more fitting, as the museum prepares to relocate to Cornerstone’s north building at the corner of University Drive and Sample Road. The new space promises improved accessibility for visitors and additional opportunities to showcase local artists. “We’re the only art museum west of I-95,” Forero pointed out. “So it’s highly significant for the artists, their work, the museum staff, and the community.”
Founded in 1997, the Coral Springs Museum of Art has grown into a cornerstone of the city’s cultural landscape, offering educational programs, workshops, and exhibitions for residents and visitors alike. Forero emphasized that the upcoming move and rebranding represent a pivotal moment for the museum and the surrounding community.
“2026 is going to be a very exciting year for the museum, for the city, and for the community. We can’t wait,” she said, reflecting on the anticipation and enthusiasm surrounding the transition. The unveiling of the new logo marks the beginning of a fresh chapter, signaling the museum’s ongoing commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and cultural enrichment.
As the museum counts down to its relocation, city officials and museum staff are encouraging the community to embrace the changes and continue participating in programs and events. The new logo, along with the upcoming facility, is designed to enhance visibility, engagement, and accessibility while celebrating the museum’s ongoing role as a vibrant cultural hub for Coral Springs and the surrounding region.
