Coral Springs students return to class for the new school year and look forward to their first holiday in less than a month

Coral Springs, Florida – Students in Coral Springs and across Broward County returned to classrooms on Monday, officially beginning the 2025-26 school year. The energy and anticipation were palpable as children, parents, and teachers prepared for a year filled with learning, growth, and new experiences.

While the return to school signals a fresh academic start, students and families can look forward to breaks that offer some much-needed rest. The first holiday on the calendar comes quickly, with Labor Day falling on Monday, September 1, giving students their first long weekend just a few weeks after classes commence.

The upcoming months are dotted with several significant breaks, allowing families to plan ahead and recharge. Thanksgiving break is especially generous this year, spanning the entire week from Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28. This weeklong pause provides an opportunity for students and their families to gather, celebrate, and enjoy quality time together.

Winter break offers even more downtime, beginning with an early release on Friday, December 19. Students then have nearly two weeks off, returning to school on Monday, January 5, 2026. This extended holiday is sure to be welcomed by all, offering a chance to relax and rejuvenate during the busy holiday season.

Spring break will follow in mid-March, from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, 2026. This break provides students with a much-needed pause in the spring semester and a chance to reset before the final stretch of the school year.

The academic year will conclude on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, with an early dismissal that ushers students into summer vacation. This marks the end of another chapter in the educational journey, filled with accomplishments and new knowledge gained.

For parents and students navigating the school year, knowing these key dates in advance helps with scheduling and planning family activities. “It’s important to balance schoolwork and rest, so these breaks come at just the right time,” said one local parent.

Overall, the 2025-26 Broward County school calendar ensures a well-structured year with ample opportunities for both study and relaxation, setting students up for success in and out of the classroom.
