8-time state champion Mark Montimurro to host summer softball camp for youth players focused on skill development and fundamentals at Cypress Park

South Florida – One of South Florida’s most accomplished high school softball coaches is set to bring his championship experience back to the field this summer. Coral Springs Charter head coach Mark Montimurro will host the Champions Softball Camp at Cypress Park, offering young athletes a chance to train under one of the most successful programs in Florida high school softball history.

The camp is designed for players ages 10 to 16 and will take place in two separate three-day sessions. The first session runs from July 6 to July 8, followed by a second session scheduled for July 13 to July 15. Each day of camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon, giving participants a focused morning of instruction and on-field development.

Registration is set at $125 per player, making the camp an accessible option for families looking to give young athletes additional training during the summer months. Sessions will be held at Cypress Park, a familiar local sports venue that regularly hosts youth athletic programs and community events.

The training will center on key fundamentals of the game, with an emphasis on hitting, fielding, and agility. Players will receive hands-on instruction designed to improve both individual skills and overall game awareness. The camp will draw directly from the methods used within Coral Springs Charter’s highly successful softball program.

Montimurro’s reputation in the sport is well established. Over the course of his coaching career, he has guided Coral Springs Charter to eight FHSAA state championships, building the Panthers into one of Florida’s most dominant and respected high school softball programs. His teams have consistently competed at a high level, developing a strong winning tradition rooted in discipline and fundamentals.

For young athletes attending the camp, the opportunity goes beyond drills and practice sessions. It offers direct exposure to a coaching style that has produced championship results and helped shape one of the state’s top programs. Many players use camps like this not only to improve their skills but also to gain insight into the demands of competitive high school softball.

As summer approaches, the Champions Softball Camp adds another opportunity for youth athletes in the region to stay active and continue developing their skills. With a proven coach at the helm and a track record of success at the highest level of Florida high school softball, the program is expected to draw strong interest from families across the area.
