Whole Foods in Coral Springs reopens after temporary closure but continues operating with limited refrigerated and prepared food offerings
Coral Springs, Florida – The Whole Foods Market in Coral Springs has reopened after a brief temporary closure early Tuesday morning, though customers are still facing limited product availability inside the store.
The location, situated at 810 N. University Drive, had a sign posted on its entrance notifying shoppers that the store was temporarily closed. Within a few hours, however, the store reopened and resumed partial operations, allowing customers back inside.
Despite reopening, not all sections of the store returned to normal service. Shoppers quickly noticed that several refrigerated items were missing or significantly reduced. A Whole Foods employee confirmed by phone that cold storage options were limited following the disruption.
The store was also not serving cooked or prepared hot foods at the time of reopening, leaving gaps in the usual deli and ready-to-eat offerings that regular customers often rely on for quick meals.
According to an employee, the disruption stemmed from a power issue affecting the plaza the day before. The outage impacted refrigeration systems and forced the store to shut down temporarily while conditions were assessed and partial operations were restored.
While the store has since reopened its doors, it remains unclear when full food service and all refrigerated sections will be fully restored. Staff members did not provide a specific timeline, and customers visiting the store on Tuesday were met with an adjusted shopping experience.
Inside the store, shelves remained stocked in some areas, but the absence of chilled and prepared foods marked a noticeable difference from typical operations. For many shoppers, the limited selection meant adjusting their plans or seeking alternative locations for complete grocery needs.
Whole Foods has not issued a formal public statement beyond the on-site communications observed at the store, and updates regarding a full return to normal service are still pending.
For now, the Coral Springs location continues to operate in a reduced capacity while recovery efforts continue following the reported power disruption. Shoppers are advised to check availability in person as the store works to fully restore its refrigerated systems and prepared food services in the coming days.
