Chabad Jewish Center in Coral Springs announces six-week beginner Hebrew reading course for adults

Coral Springs, Florida – Adults looking to learn how to read Hebrew will have a chance to build their skills this summer through a new six-week beginner course offered by the Chabad Jewish Center in Coral Springs.

The Hebrew Reading Course is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. Classes will continue every Tuesday for six consecutive weeks at the Chabad Jewish Center, located at 11325 W. Atlantic Blvd. The program is designed for people who are starting from the beginning and does not require any previous knowledge of the Hebrew language.

Organizers said the course is intended for anyone who has wanted to learn Hebrew reading skills, whether for religious, personal, or cultural reasons. Participants may use the lessons to better follow synagogue services, strengthen their connection to Jewish traditions, or finally complete a personal goal of learning to read Hebrew.

Throughout the program, students will be introduced to the Hebrew alphabet and learn how letters are formed and recognized. The course will also cover vowel markings, which help readers understand Hebrew pronunciation and develop the ability to read words and texts more comfortably.

By the end of the six-week program, participants are expected to have the foundation needed to read Hebrew texts with greater confidence and independence. The class structure is designed to support beginners by building skills step by step rather than requiring students to have any prior experience.

The registration fee for the course is $90 per person. The cost includes a student workbook and a practice book that participants can use during lessons and while continuing their studies outside the classroom.

The Chabad Jewish Center noted that space for the course is limited, encouraging those interested in joining to register early. Enrollment is available through the center’s website at www.mychabadcenter.org/hebrew.
