CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday that beginning next week, people ages 60 and older will be eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine in Coral Springs and across the state.
The new age requirement will begin on Monday, March 15, at state-run vaccination sites and retail pharmacy locations.
As of Monday, here’s who can get vaccinated in Florida:
— Health care personnel with direct patient contact
— Firefighters 50 years and older
— K-12 school employees
— Long-term care facility residents and staff
— Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years and older
— Physicians may approve vaccinations for patients who are extremely vulnerable to the coronavirus. If you are under the age of 65 and meet the criteria defined by the Florida Department of Health as someone who is “extremely vulnerable” to Covid-19, you must complete this form and have it signed by your physician: FDH Form 
As of Monday, here’s where you can get vaccinated:
— To make an appointment through the Florida Central Appointment System, visit the Florida Department of Health or call 1-866-201-6313.
— Publix is administering vaccinations at their pharmacies in Coral Springs and across Florida. The online registration system opens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Appointments must be made online at Publix Vaccinations Broward.
— Broward College North Campus in Coconut Creek has a vaccination site, open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. It operates at Omni Auditorium on North Campus at 1000 Coconut Creek Boulevard. The site will stay open for a minimum of two months, and 200 vaccines will be available each day on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the vaccination site hotline at 954-559-8321 to find out if you are eligible and for additional information.
— Check Broward Health for updates on when new appointments will resume. The health system maintains a waitlist as day-of appointments become available. Anyone who needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment should complete the form at: BrowardHealth.org/COVIDReschedule.
— CVS Pharmacy stores in Broward County are taking appointments at: cvs.com/immunizations/covid-19-vaccine.
— Walmart and Sam’s Clubs stores are providing appointments across Broward County at: walmart.com/COVIDvaccine and samsclub.com/covid.
