Theft In Coral Springs: More Than $15,000 Stolen In 20 Incidents, May 5-11

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The Coral Springs Police Department reported more than $15,000 was stolen during 20 incidents of fraud, shoplifting, burglaries, and other thefts during the week of May 5-11.
In addition, six people were arrested for theft-related crimes during that time.

– May 5, NW 95 Avenue, Victim: woman, 27

– May 6, Coral Ridge Drive, Victim: woman, 33, Estimated loss: $425
– May 7, 1400 block of Coral Ridge Drive
– May 9, 9200 block of NW 1 Street, Victim: man, 18, Estimated loss: $200
Fraudulent use of credit card
– May 5, West Sample Road, Victim: man, 25
Fraud
– May 5, NW 124 Avenue, Victim: man, 74
Theft of auto parts
– May 6, West Atlantic Boulevard, Estimated loss: $3,000
Grand theft
– May 7, Wiles Road, Estimated loss: $2,240
– May 10, NW 37 Drive, Estimated loss: $2,000
Shoplifting
– May 7, West Atlantic Boulevard, Estimated loss: $30
– May 7, Walmart, 6001 Coral Ridge Drive, Estimated loss: $46
– May 8, Home Depot, 750 North University Drive, Estimated loss: $570
– May 8, Walmart, 3801 Turtle Creek Drive, Estimated loss: $82
Burglary
– May 8, Riverside Drive, Victim: woman, 35, Estimated loss: $240
– May 11, no address provided, Estimated loss: $4,340
Burglary to business
– May 11, Coral Hills Drive, Estimated loss: $11
Grand theft motorcycle
– May 10, West Atlantic Boulevard, Victim: woman, 38
Retail theft
– May 11, Buy Buy Baby, 2035 North University Drive, Estimated loss: $800
– May 11, Westview Drive, Estimated loss: $1,129
Theft arrests (Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.)

– David Newbury, 56, arrested on a charge of petit theft.
– Heidi Brumfield, 30, arrested on a charge of burglary/theft from auto.
– Dallas Federick, 19, arrested on a charge of petit theft.
– Tarri Rich, 56, arrested on a charge of petit theft.
– Jamill Brinson, 23, arrested on a charge of petit theft.
