50-year-old found dead in Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Saturday evening, there was a significant police presence in the 1000 block of East 13th Street, which is located in the Phoenix neighborhood of Jacksonville. At 1:51 in the afternoon, officers responded to a report of a person who had been shot. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the body of a man who was fifty years old was discovered on Saturday.

Authorities said the man died from the gunshot wounds he sustained.

At this time, the JSO is not aware of the nature of the suspect’s connection to the victim; however, they are questioning a number of witnesses. According to the police, the residence was also occupied by a number of people of various ages during the incident.
