Foul play considered a factor in man’s death whose body was found in a Moncrief Park area home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, an investigation is underway after a man’s body was discovered Tuesday inside a residence in the Moncrief Park neighborhood of the city.

In response to a report of a person who was unresponsive, officers were sent to the 1600 block of W 25th Street at around 1:35 p.m.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the site and determined that the man had passed away there.

The police said that it looked like the person’s body had been hurt by a blunt force.

According to the police, there may have been foul play involved in the man’s death.

Additionally, JSO reported that the man’s front door was not functioning normally. The surveillance footage from the home’s cameras is now being examined by the authorities.
