Parents of boy who went to the wrong school located by deputies

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the parents of a 5-year-old kid who went to the wrong school on Monday morning in Broward County after conducting a search that lasted several hours.

According to the deputies, the driver delivered the child to the Park Lakes Elementary School in Lauderdale Lakes just before 9 o’clock in the morning, even though the youngster does not attend that school.

The staff at Park Lakes Elementary School told the BSO, and deputies passed out a picture of the boy in the hopes that someone could help them find his parents.

Deputies were asking anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
