Vehicle crash at a restaurant in Plantation left multiple people injured, dozen hospitalized

Troopers reported a fatality after a collision in the southbound lanes of State Road 429 in Winter Garden.

At 3:12 p.m., the driver’s 2009 Mazda Tribute SUV collided with a railing and flipped at mile marker 21, according to Lt. Tara Crescenzi of the Florida Highway Patrol.

At the site, the driver was declared deceased.

Crescenzi said that the outer southbound lane of S.R. 429 is blocked while troopers look into the accident.
