Miami Children’s Film Festival will be held at the Coral Gables Art Cinema November 17–20

The Miami Children’s Film Festival has evolved into a family tradition for a significant number of South Florida’s families. The Coral Gables Art Cinema will be hosting the event, which will take place from November 17–20, 2022. Donations will be accepted in place of entry fees this year (pay what you can).

In addition to the highly recognized films from across the world that are often shown for children and families at this festival, there will also be free workshops, a street fair on Saturday, November 19, and a closing party on Sunday, November 20.

The following films are going to be shown as part of the program this year:

  • Live Action shorts featuring a heartfelt documentary, a film that’s a love song to a dog and other films exploring cultural traditions and narratives about friendship.
  • “Zero Gravity” about a group of middle schoolers competing in a nationwide tournament to code satellites about the International Space Station.
  • “Yung Punx: A Punk Parable” a documentary following the punk band Color Killer, formed by four young kids set to play the Warped Music Tour.
  • “Oink” a stop-motion animated film about a young vegetarian and her pet piglet.

The Coral Gables Art Cinema is located at 260 Aragon Avenue, directly across the street from Books & Books. It is one street north of Miracle Mile, between Ponce de Leon Boulevard on the east and Salzedo Street on the west.
