17-year-old found guilty of shooting two teenagers during a 2019 robbery in Palatka

PALATKA, Fla. — During the course of a robbery that took place in 2019, a youngster from Palatka was determined to be responsible for shooting two other teenagers. During that period, the defendant was just 15 years old.

Timothy Scott, who is now 17 years old, was found guilty on two counts of attempted robbery with a firearm and two counts of aggravated battery with bodily harm while armed with a firearm.

Court documents show that the teenage boys were found shot inside a vehicle near Skeet Club Road in Palatka. Scott had already fled the area when the police arrived.

According to authorities, Scott shot the teenagers during a pre-planned robbery.

One of the victims identified Scott as the shooter after waking up from a coma.

Scott has yet to be sentenced.
