Lauderhill man wanted by police for shooting and seriously injuring his partner, police

Officials said that the Lauderhill Police Department is looking into a report that a woman was shot early Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. in Lauderhill near the 5300 block of NW 24th Court. When the police got there, they found a woman who had been shot multiple times.

The preliminary investigation found that the victim and her boyfriend got into a fight over words, and that the fight turned violent at some point when the suspect shot the victim multiple times, hitting her in the leg and upper torso.

The woman was then taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where she is still being treated.

The suspect ran away on foot and hasn’t been found yet.

The police haven’t said who the victim or the suspect is yet.
