Local authorities seek public help in locating 82-year-old Fort Lauderdale man with dementia missing since Friday, police

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Police want the public’s help to find an 82-year-old man who went missing from a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood.

Decature Petty was last seen on Friday around 2:00 p.m. near the 2400 block of Northwest 26th Avenue.

Frank is what Petty calls himself. He has a limp and is sick with dementia.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black-and-white checkered jacket, a peach button-down shirt, and gray dress pants.

Petty is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds, has brown eyes, gray hair, and a gray goatee.

Anyone who knows where he is should call their local police department as soon as possible.
