Saturday morning stabbing incident in Westside Jacksonville fatal for one person, police confirmed

JACKSONVILLE, Florida— The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says that a man was stabbed early Saturday morning on the Westside. The man died at the scene.

At about 2:30 p.m., JSO patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of Oriely Drive because there was a fight going on. When JSO officers arrived, they found a man with multiple stab wounds lying on the ground outside a house.

When JFRD workers got there, they said that person was dead.

JSO says it is working quickly to find out who the victim is for sure. Right now, detectives are talking to several people, according to the police.

During a briefing, police said, “We think this is an isolated case, and there is no threat to public safety at this time.”
