Lehigh Acres man, accused of False Imprisonment with a firearm and Aggravated Assault on a person 65 years old or older, found guilty

LEE COUNTY, Florida — A man from Lehigh Acres was found guilty of False Imprisonment with a Gun and Aggravated Assault on a Person 65 or Older.

Samuel Clarence Redd went into a house on October 1, 2022, and tied a person up with electrical cords and duct tape.

Redd then forced the people to lie down on the ground, put a gun to their heads, and said he would shoot them if they moved.

A few hours later, the people who were held captive were able to break free and leave the house. They called the police, and when they got there, they found Redd alone at home.

After searching the house, the police found the gun hidden in a door and electrical cords and tape in the trash.
