Lucky buyer in Florida wins a $1 million Powerball ticket

A Powerball ticket sold in Florida has won the buyer $1 million.

This winning ticket wasn’t the only one sold in Oakland Park on Wednesday; another ticket from the Fantasy Five game sold at a Chevron station is worth $47,331.18.

While no one won the $31 million Powerball jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing, the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday is $45 million, with a cash value of $22.9 million.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket on East Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park, located north of Fort Lauderdale. The ticket was a quick pick ticket and correctly matched five out of five of the white numbers, missing only the Powerball number.
