BSO detectives investigate shooting during armed robbery in North Lauderdale

North Lauderdale, Florida – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an armed robbery resulted in a man being shot and injured on Friday night in North Lauderdale.
The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. near the 1300 block of Interlachen neighborhood, where authorities received a call regarding the shooting and robbery. Upon arrival at the scene, BSO deputies located an adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound.
BSO Public Information Officer Carey Codd has stated that the initial investigation suggests that the victim was shot during an armed robbery and that the perpetrators stole his vehicle.
The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention via Broward Sheriff Air Rescue. At present, there is no update on the victim’s condition.
