Florida man arrested after a toddler dies in an unsecured firearm tragedy

Pompano Beach, Florida – In a tragic event that unfolded this past Saturday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office has disclosed that a 2-year-old toddler lost their life in an unfortunate shooting incident. The accident occurred at a residential property located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Upon receiving a distress call, deputies and emergency medical personnel were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, they encountered the toddler, who had sustained a critical gunshot wound.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the firearm involved was not securely stored and was inadvertently discharged, causing the tragedy. The weapon has been identified as belonging to Mr. Lius Appolon, a 33-year-old resident of Pompano Beach.
Despite immediate transportation to a nearby hospital, the young child did not survive the grave injuries sustained.
In the aftermath of this tragic event, Mr. Appolon has been apprehended on charges of manslaughter involving a firearm.
