Broward County Public Schools to hold career fair, over 1,300 positions available

Broward County, Florida – As a part of an ambitious recruitment initiative, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) cordially invites potential candidates to participate in their forthcoming Back-to-School Career Fair. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

The district, currently poised to fill around 1,300 vacant roles, has a wide array of opportunities up for grabs, from teaching and pedagogical roles to support and food service positions.

The career exposition is set to be held at Western High School, located in Davie. It presents a unique occasion for attendees to interact in person with a variety of district representatives, including school principals, various district staff, and members of the human resources department.

Candidates who meet the necessary requirements might find themselves walking away with an immediate job offer, thereby transforming the fair into a pivotal moment for those desiring to pursue a vocation in the field of education or other correlated sectors.

The list of vacancies includes, but is not limited to, teaching positions, school counseling roles, speech-language pathologists, classroom and teacher assistants, bus drivers, security personnel, custodians, and food service staff members. This broad spectrum of roles ensures that individuals with diverse skills and interests will find plentiful employment opportunities.

Aspiring attendees are urged to register their interest via the event’s dedicated webpage: https://bcpscareers.com/summerfair-2023. In order to be adequately prepared, it is advised for applicants to carry multiple copies of their CVs, prepare a set of questions for principals, supervisors, and HR representatives, and be ready to discuss their career aspirations and interests.

Interviews will be conducted during the event from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. To maximize the possibility of procuring on-the-spot job offers, the school district advises participants to arrive promptly.

Working for BCPS comes with a competitive benefits package, encompassing 100% paid medical insurance, paid time off, complimentary professional development programs, and comprehensive retirement plans under the auspices of the Florida Retirement System.
