Margate, Florida – The Margate Police Department cordially invites members of the community to participate in an engaging evening dedicated to crime prevention and safety education, promising an abundance of family-oriented enjoyment.

This year marks the 21st annual ‘National Night Out Against Crime‘ event hosted by the Margate Police Department. Scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, the event will commence at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, conveniently situated at 1695 Banks Road.

The ‘National Night Out Against Crime’ is an event conceived with the objective of fostering community solidarity and promoting crime prevention. The gathering, free of cost and catering to family members of all age groups, is a splendid opportunity to glean insightful crime prevention strategies, while partaking in an atmosphere of merriment marked by food, live music, and an assortment of activities designed for children.

An additional highlight of the event is the provision for families to interact with local law enforcement officers and gain a first-hand experience of emergency vehicles, an endeavor aimed at promoting a rapport of trust and familiarity between the community and those entrusted with its protection.

To further enrich the experience, demonstrations will be carried out by different law enforcement agencies, including SWAT, K9 units, fire rescue teams, and aviation units.
