Sixth individual arrested in Broward County high school altercation

Coral Springs, Florida – The sixth person involved in a fight among students near a Broward County high school has been arrested. Anthony Casseus, a 15-year-old student from Coral Glades High School, was taken into custody on Wednesday and is now facing felony battery charges.

According to police reports, Casseus was identified as part of the group that attacked the victim in the altercation. The incident stemmed from a video of a fight at a parking lot across the street from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

During the confrontation, the victim was body-slammed backward and subsequently hospitalized. Fortunately, he is expected to recover from his injuries.

Earlier in the week, a fifth individual involved in the fight, Jahmeer Beauziel, aged 17, turned himself in to the Coral Springs Police.

It’s worth noting that the other teenagers arrested in connection with the fight have been ordered by a judge to be placed under home detention for three weeks as part of their legal proceedings.
