Coral Springs student athletes participate in All-Star Games and receive Conference Awards

Coral Springs, Florida – While some participated in All-Star Games, Coral Springs’ top athletes were honored for their accomplishments during the autumn sports season.

Coral Glades

Biannca Gibbs’ achievement as the city’s co-player of the year in golf was a highlight. With a score of 148 (73-75), the BCAA Champion had the lowest score of all the Broward female golfers competing in all classifications and tied for 15th place at the State Championship earlier in the year. Additionally, she finished sixth at the Regional and second in the District.

While the boys’ squad honored Carter Brooks, Justin Laing, and Noah Rosen, her teammate Shannon Glynn also received an Honorable Mention. From the boys’ swim team, Ethan Persten was also selected.

In football, Jordan Roberts, Joe Kogan, Winston Moise, Anthony “AJ” Casseus, and Kourageous Thompson all received honorable mentions for the Jaguars. Following the Jaguars’ two-win season finale, Tyler Gordon, Moise, and John Wooden participated in the BCAA All-Star Game. Saniyah Tulloch and Aryanna Blanco played for the Colts in the girls’ volleyball match.

Coral Springs High School

Jeffrey Belizaire had an incredible year, breaking the school record in the 5K, and was selected to the First Team in cross-country. In high school, he made it to state three times, won districts, and placed third at regionals. Kaylah Pinkney participated in the girls’ volleyball match, and Matthew Wykpisz, Jermain Massey, Imani Richardson, and Antonio Silas were chosen for the BCAA All-Star Football Game.

Coral Springs Charter

Cameron Thiele was named to the Coral Springs Charter bowling team’s First Team, the highest honor bestowed upon him. She helped guide the team to the BCAA Championship and District runner-up finish, while she finished sixth in the District Tournament (477 series). At the State Tournament, Thiele bowled a 631 series. Audrey Gold and Jazmyn Chung received Honorable Mentions, and Faith Tucker was selected to the Second Team.

Brian Hamilton was selected for the second team in the 50- and 100-free swim events. Mariana Montes was chosen from among the girls, and John Albornoz received an Honorable Mention for the males. Along with Natalie Comte, who was chosen from the girls golf team, the Panthers also selected Kendall Parrott and Alyson Thomas to the second team from cross-country.

In addition to playing in the BCAA All-Star Game alongside Honorable Mention Jaide Keen and Allyson Gates, Samantha McMillan was selected to the girls volleyball team’s Second Team All-Conference. To help the Panthers win ten games, McMillan led the team in kills, Keen led in blocks, and Gates led in aces.

Taravella, J.P.

Bryce Collins and Zachery Kimbrell were chosen as the first team after leading them to a District Championship, demonstrating J.P. Taravella’s success in bowling.

Collins finished third at Districts and bowled a 743 series at states, whereas Kimbrell won the District Tournament individually and bowled a 797 at states. The Second Team was made up of Marvin Nixon. The swim team’s Jayden Davis and Lenin Hamilton received Honorable Mentions. The cross-country teams were represented by Scardy Fils and Akeem Beckford. After the Trojans finished 6-10 this season, Aniza Zadid and Brooke Bunting participated in the BCAA All-Star Game.
