The Sleeping Beauty will be performed by the Ukrainian State Ballet Theater at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts
Coral Springs, Florida – On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine will perform The Sleeping Beauty at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.
Set to the well-known score by Tchaikovsky, this play will be presented in three acts with two intermissions.
The ballet narrates the tale of Princess Aurora, who is cursed to spend a hundred years in a deep sleep by the evil fairy Carabosse on her sixteenth birthday. Only a kiss from her true love, a prince who awakens her from the spell, can break the curse.
Sleeping Beauty has received accolades for its technical mastery and devotion to tradition, and it is well-known for its classical ballet style. The goal of the production is to present an accurate rendition of this well-known story while highlighting the choreography and musical arrangement that have made it a mainstay of the ballet industry.
