After allegedly drawing a gun during a road rage incident, a nurse from Coral Springs was arrested

Coral Springs, Florida – According to a police report, a guy from Coral Springs was arrested last week for allegedly brandishing his firearm during a road rage incident.

On January 23, after a fight in the 2500 block of University Drive in Coral Springs, 64-year-old Eric Johnston was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

Johnston works as an ER nurse at Broward Health Coral Springs, according to his police record and LinkedIn profile.

Around 3:30 p.m., Johnston got into a verbal altercation with another motorist as he was stopped at a red light, according to the report.

According to the complaint, the victim informed police that Johnston pointed a revolver at him after making a menacing middle finger gesture and removing it from the center console of his car.

Johnston was apprehended by police after they discovered him in a neighboring Bank of America parking lot.

According to the report, Johnston acknowledged carrying a revolver in his car when he was questioned, saying the other driver “may have seen.”

According to court documents, he was brought to the Broward County Jail before being released on bond.
