Coral Springs is examining $736,435 for road resurfacing projects at Pine Glen subdivision and NW 118 Avenue

Coral Springs, Florida – According to a city memo, as part of its yearly roadway maintenance program, the city of Coral Springs has designated NW 118 Avenue and the Pine Glen subdivision as the next sites for road resurfacing.

The decision to grant The Paving Lady of Boynton Beach a $736,435 contract to finish the resurfacing work will be made by city commissioners on Wednesday.

According to the memo, the project is a component of the city’s Public Works Capital Improvement Program.

Generally speaking, asphalt roads last 20 to 25 years, depending on traffic and environmental circumstances.

According to the document, Coral Springs resurfaces its roads every 25 years in order to reduce the need for expensive, time-consuming reconstruction.

According to the memo, The Paving Lady offered a basic cost of $686,435.37, plus an extra $50,000 for unforeseen circumstances, making the total project authorization $736,435. This was the lowest response bid out of 11 competing firms.

The contract also permits the purchasing manager of the city to authorize modification orders up to $75,000 in total.

In the document, city authorities emphasized that The Paving Lady had successfully finished resurfacing projects of a similar nature for other communities, with favorable testimonials from previous customers.
