Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has approved a grant of $4,848 to assist with improvements at a strip mall on Sample Road. The funding will go toward replacing awnings and installing new gutters at the commercial property located at 9739-9801 Sample Road.

The total cost of the project is estimated at $9,696, with the grant covering half of the expenses. The property owner, DECO Inn, will fund the remaining costs. Originally built in 1975, the 20,874-square-foot strip mall was appraised at $4.3 million, according to agency documents.

This grant is part of the CRA’s Commercial Property Enhancement Grant program, which helps business owners within the city’s redevelopment zone make exterior upgrades. The initiative aims to revitalize commercial areas and encourage long-term investment in the local economy.

In addition to this grant, the CRA has recently provided funding to several other businesses for improvements. These include:

• Borsa Properties – Up to $35,000 for security upgrades at 3301 University Drive.
• Tacocraft – $98,529 for façade improvements at the new Cornerstone complex.
• Reinfeld & Cabrera PA – $35,545 for exterior renovations at 9625 Sample Road.

Agency officials emphasize that the grant program is designed to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of business spaces in central Coral Springs. By assisting property owners with these upgrades, the city hopes to attract more customers and encourage further development.
