Coral Springs announces a month of special events to celebrate Autism Awareness in April 2025

Coral Springs, Florida – April is Autism Awareness Month, and Coral Springs is leading the charge to foster inclusivity, understanding, and community support for individuals with autism. Throughout the month, the city will be hosting a series of events and activities designed to promote education and celebrate neurodiversity. With sensory-friendly opportunities and community engagement at the heart of the initiative, these events aim to provide a welcoming environment for families, children, and individuals with sensory sensitivities.

One of the highlights of the month is the Hoppin’ Into Springs Sensory-Friendly Time Frame, set to take place on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Sportsplex Park. This special 30-minute window is dedicated to children ages 3 to 8 who experience sensory sensitivities, allowing them to enjoy the annual Hoppin’ Into Springs Egg Hunt in a more relaxed environment. The hunt runs until 12 p.m., but this early session ensures that children with autism and sensory challenges can participate without being overwhelmed by the usual crowds and noise. This thoughtful adjustment helps make a beloved community tradition accessible to more families.
