Coral Springs, Florida – Broward County Public Schools officials are celebrating another major athletic achievement after Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s baseball team captured its sixth consecutive state championship. The victory has once again placed the program in the spotlight, with district leaders highlighting the accomplishment through their BCPS Shines platform, which recognizes standout performances across schools in the district.

The school, which serves parts of Coral Springs, continues to build on a reputation that has grown stronger with each season. The latest championship win adds another chapter to what has become one of the most dominant high school baseball runs in Florida history.

The championship game took place on May 16, when Marjory Stoneman Douglas defeated Venice High School by a narrow 2-1 margin. With this latest win, the team secured the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 7A State Championship for the sixth year in a row. That streak has become a defining feature of the program, setting it apart not only within the state but also on a national level.
