Coral Springs woman accused of slashing boyfriend with broken bottle during violent domestic dispute inside shared home

Coral Springs, Florida – A Coral Springs woman is facing serious criminal charges after police say a domestic dispute inside a shared home escalated into a violent confrontation that left her boyfriend injured with cuts, bite marks, and heavy bleeding from a broken bottle wound.

The incident took place on June 26 at a residence along Royal Palm Boulevard, according to Coral Springs police. Authorities say the situation began shortly after midnight when Jazmin Nicole Miranda, 38, returned home after falling off a motorbike.

Police reports indicate the fall happened about 20 minutes after midnight and caused damage to the motorcycle. That damage quickly became the center of an argument between Miranda and her live-in boyfriend, with whom she has reportedly been in a relationship for seven years.

What started as a verbal dispute reportedly escalated once the couple moved into a bedroom inside the home. According to an arrest report, the argument turned physical, with pushing and shoving between the two before both fell to the floor during the confrontation.

Investigators say the situation intensified further when both individuals began striking each other. At some point during the altercation, Miranda allegedly held a bottle of alcohol and struck the man’s arm with it.

The impact shattered or broke the bottle, leaving the victim with a deep wound. Police said the injury resulted in a gash across his left triceps and caused significant bleeding.

The man also had bite marks on both biceps and additional cuts along his lower back, according to the report, suggesting a prolonged and chaotic struggle inside the bedroom.

After the confrontation, the man left the residence and drove away. He was later stopped by police during a traffic stop. Officers applied a tourniquet to his injured arm in an effort to slow the bleeding before emergency responders arrived.

Coral Springs Fire Rescue personnel treated him at the scene before transporting him to Broward Health Coral Springs, where he was admitted for further medical care.

Authorities said Miranda and the victim had been living together at the home. Despite the severity of the injuries described in the report, police noted that Miranda did not appear to have any visible injuries when officers made contact with her.

Miranda was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence aggravated battery causing bodily harm and domestic battery. However, investigators also noted that the victim declined to cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation.

Following her arrest, Miranda was booked into the Broward County jail. She later secured release after posting a $6,000 bond.

The case remains under investigation as authorities review the events that led to the violent encounter. Police have not released additional details about possible upcoming court proceedings, and no further statements have been made by those involved.

For now, the incident adds another case to the growing number of domestic violence investigations handled by local authorities, where disputes inside the home can quickly escalate into serious and dangerous situations.
