Eagles and Billy Joel classics set to fill Coral Springs church during unique candlelight string quartet concert

Coral Springs, Florida – Music fans in Coral Springs will have the chance to experience some of the most memorable songs from the Eagles and Billy Joel in a completely different way this fall. A string quartet will perform classical arrangements of the artists’ greatest hits during a candlelit concert at First Church Coral Springs.

Presented by SOLAS Presents, “Eagles vs. Billy Joel by Candlelight” is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, from 8 to 9 p.m. at First Church Coral Springs. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., giving guests time to arrive and find seating before the performance begins.

The one-hour concert will transform familiar rock classics into an intimate live string performance. Organizers describe the event as a multisensory experience that combines music, atmosphere, and the warm setting of a candlelit venue.

The performance will feature some of the biggest songs from both legendary acts. Fans of the Eagles can expect to hear classical versions of favorites including “Take It Easy,” “Hotel California,” “Lyin’ Eyes” and “One of These Nights.” The concert will also highlight Billy Joel’s extensive catalog with songs such as “Piano Man,” “Vienna,” “Tell Her About It” and “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”

Additional songs from both artists will also be included in the program, giving audiences the opportunity to hear more familiar melodies performed in a fresh and unique style.

The candlelight format is designed to create a different kind of concert experience compared with a traditional rock performance. Instead of a large stage production, the event focuses on the sound of live string instruments and the atmosphere of the historic venue, allowing audiences to enjoy the music in a more personal setting.

Organizers say the concert is open to guests of all ages, making it an option for music lovers, families, and longtime fans of both artists. No specific age restrictions are listed for attendees.

Seating for the event will be unreserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, as doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

The concert is expected to last approximately 60 minutes, providing an evening of entertainment centered around some of the most recognizable songs in American popular music.
