Coral Springs International Dinner Dance to celebrate Portuguese culture this September
Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs residents will have the chance to experience the sights, sounds and flavors of Portugal without leaving Broward County when the city’s annual International Dinner Dance returns this September.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Marriott Heron Bay, located at 11775 Heron Bay Blvd. Organizers say this year’s celebration will highlight Portugal, bringing elements of the country’s traditions, entertainment and culture to the Coral Springs community.
Hosted each year by the Coral Springs Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee, the International Dinner Dance is designed to showcase a different country and provide residents with an opportunity to learn about cultures from around the world. Previous celebrations have featured various nations, allowing attendees to enjoy international experiences through food, music and entertainment.
This year’s event will focus on Portugal, a country known for its rich history, coastal landscapes and cultural traditions. The celebration will feature Portuguese-themed decorations, a photo booth, DJ music and live Portuguese entertainment throughout the evening.
Guests will also enjoy a full night of dining and dancing. Tickets cost $75 per person and include dinner, wine, entertainment and access to the dance floor. Organizers said attendees are welcome to wear Portuguese clothing or choose an outfit that represents their own cultural background.
The event will begin with dinner and continue into an evening of music and dancing, giving guests several hours to socialize and celebrate diversity within the Coral Springs community.

City officials noted that the International Dinner Dance has become a popular annual tradition, offering residents a unique way to connect with different cultures. Instead of traveling overseas, attendees can experience aspects of another country through a local community event.
For those planning to attend, organizers reminded residents that tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available at the door on the night of the event. Tickets can be purchased through the city’s official website at CoralSprings.gov/DinnerDance.
Businesses and community members who want to support the celebration can also participate through sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship information is available online for organizations and individuals interested in helping make the event possible.
The International Dinner Dance is part of Coral Springs’ continued effort to celebrate its diverse population and encourage cultural connections among residents. By highlighting a different country each year, the event provides an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to come together, share experiences and enjoy an evening centered around international traditions.
