Coral Springs Family Fun Night invites residents of all ages to discover recreation programs and enjoy an evening of activities

Coral Springs, Florida – Residents in Coral Springs will have an opportunity to discover new activities, meet local program leaders and enjoy an evening of entertainment when the city hosts its Family Fun Night Recreation Expo later this month.

The free event, organized by the Coral Springs Parks and Recreation Department, is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Coral Springs Gymnasium, located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive. The event is open to residents of all ages and is designed to give families and individuals a closer look at the many recreation options available through the city.

Rather than simply providing information about programs, the Recreation Expo will give residents a chance to speak directly with instructors and program coordinators. Attendees can ask questions, learn how activities work and find programs that fit their interests, schedules and needs.

The programs highlighted during the evening will cover a wide range of age groups. Families can learn about opportunities for toddlers and children, while adults and seniors can also explore activities and classes offered through the Parks and Recreation Department. The event is intended to make it easier for residents to learn what is available before deciding which programs they may want to join.

There will also be plenty happening throughout the evening for families looking for entertainment. A live DJ will provide music, while a bounce house and instructor demonstrations will add to the activities. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concession stand, giving families another option while they spend time at the event.

The Recreation Expo will also bring together several other city organizations. Representatives from Volunteer Services, the Coral Springs Police Department, the Coral Springs Museum of Art and other city departments are expected to attend. Their presence will give residents an opportunity to learn about additional city services, community programs and ways to become more involved.

For residents who are interested in volunteering, the event will also provide information about available opportunities. Visitors can ask questions about volunteer services while also learning about upcoming activities and registration.
